OOC PREFERENCES: Permissions for OOC game activity.
CONTACT METHODS: Any and all is fine! My twitter is open and checked often (alovething). Email and gchat are good too. If you would like either of those, just ask me (via twitter or a PM on Davin's journal).
THREADJACKING: If a post is marked closed for a certain character, I would prefer it stay between Davin and that character. If a post is open or it's a toplevel, I don't see this being a problem as long as you just let me know what's going on.
SLOWTAGGING/BACKTAGGING: It only becomes a problem with me when it results in timeline overlaps (ie if I need to know what happened in a prior thread before I can start a new one). I tend to tag quicker and move my characters forward, but of course I understand that real life comes first and people tag when they can. That's no problem. Just drop me a line and let me know!

AVOIDED SUBJECTS: Nothing that I can think of off the top of my head. I have things that bother me personally but I could play them out in fiction if it made for good plot. If you have something you'd like to do that's a heavy/complicated subject matter, just talk to me about it. PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Davin is about six feet tall and rather lanky but still muscular, like a swimmer's build. He has messy brown hair and pale skin, and he has little beauty marks scattered all over. His eyes are a pale, golden brown. He's attractive with boyish good looks and puts some level of care into his personal appearance. He looks decent enough with stubble but can't grow facial hair to save his life so he's always clean shaven to preserve his dignity. His hair generally looks like this or this on lazy days. He speaks with an Irish accent and usually a light, teasing tone, but his voice can easily get deep and sort of rough. He talks with his hands and eyebrows a lot. He's very hygienic and always clean, but he's a mechanic so that garage/engine oil scent may cling to him sometimes. He also wears a subtle, woodsy cologne. His manner of dress is pretty casual. He looks like this often, but he tends to go straight home and change after work because he doesn't like walking around dirty. He's very much a jeans and t-shirts kind of guy, and he wears a lot of henleys. He was built for the cold so he never really bundles up like he should. His typical winter wear is HERE. He cleans up well, which he does when the occasion calls for it. That looks like this.
DEMEANOR: Davin is pretty laidback and very friendly. He loves talking to people and making new friends. He's often sarcastic but not in a mean way, and he doesn't have much patience for rudeness. He's quick to smile and laugh and loves to make others do the same. He's bright and energetic and fun, and his emotions usually show pretty plainly on his face. He has no problem making a spectacle of himself, either. He's interested in reading and learning new things. If you teach Davin something, you'll have his full attention.
PHYSICAL CONTACT: Davin doesn't have a great concept of personal space. He's very touch-starved and enjoys physical contact, even from people he doesn't know very well. With people he's close to he tends to be very touchy feely and affectionate. If someone isn't the same way, he will respect that and follow their cues.
FLIRTING: Davin is good at flirting and he can usually tell when people are flirting with him and can respond in turn. If it's someone he has actual romantic feelings for he can get a little blushy and awkward, but he's still pretty good at it. He flirts with everyone, really. It's his default setting.
RELATIONSHIPS: Davin is currently in a romantic relationship with James Thornton, and he's pretty pumped about it.
HOME INFORMATION: Davin has lived in a small apartment over a bakery, Sweet Maddy's, since he was eighteen. The place was used as storage and Davin renovated it himself. It's located off the main drag, aware from the nicer, more touristy areas. The apartment is cozy and lived in, with soft, overstuffed furniture and warm colors. One wall is taken over with bookshelves and there are books stacked everywhere. His bed is big and plush and very hard to get out of. He has no magical protection on his apartment, but he has been considering it.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Homophobia, for sure, along with any sort of bigotry and discrimination. He gets a little offended when people make assumptions based on his age. He hates when guys act like jerks about women. Otherwise, he's pretty easygoing.
ABILITIES: He can speak fluent Irish/Gaelic and a lot of Spanish, play the guitar, make the best hot cocoa in the world, and run long distances. He's in great physical shape (still tall and lanky but a bit more muscular than the Dylan O'Brien we know and love).
POWERS: Davin is a witch with powers centered around telekinesis. He can call anything metal (or with metal in it) to him, or manipulate it however he would like (ie bending or breaking metal, or unlocking locks and opening doors, etc). He can also create and/or manipulate electricity. He's skilled at potions, but he doesn't dabble too often. His powers are getting stronger, and he isn't aware of that yet. He keeps his use of magic under wraps just to be safe, but he won't deny that it exists. Anyone close to him would know about his abilities.

WITCH FORM: Davin does not physically transform in any way, but when he is creating electricity sparks will dance around his fingertips. If he is using particularly strong magic, the irises of his eyes will also have blue sparks in them.

RELATIONSHIP CONTROL: No one has full godmodding rights over Davin, but Mira (Faye) comes close. Mira is his best friend and can create any backstory pertaining to her friendship with Davin. She knows Davin very well, so she can pretty much use him however she needs. I am pretty flexible with Davin, and he's been in Siren Cove since he was a child. If anyone wants to create any sort of history with him, just drop me a line. Characters can feel free to mention Davin and his everyday actions casually, but if it's something big that would alter a character or relationship in any way, I would prefer to discuss it first. James can feel free to mention Davin and/or seeing him, or anything regarding the everyday goings on of their relationship.
MENTAL: Davin has no real defense against any sort of mental intrusion. I would be okay with someone using this kind of ability on him, but I would like to discuss it first.
FIGHTING/VIOLENCE: Davin is not necessarily prone to violence, but he would fight back if provoked and he would definitely fight to protect his friends.
LURING: As of right now, Davin would be pretty susceptible to siren powers. I feel like he would know something was wrong, but wouldn't really be able to stop it. Again, just talk to me first if you would like to do something!
MAGIC: When it comes to magic, Davin knows he is pretty powerful, but he's actually much more powerful than he's even aware of. His magic responds to other magic, in that his will make itself known and rise to the surface in order to protect him if someone else is using powerful magic near him. He would definitely know if someone was trying to use magic on him. It would take another exceptionally powerful witch to use magic on him without his knowledge or consent. Just run anything by me first.
