Davin is actually a little surprised when James takes the potion without complain. It's a sure sign of how much he actually trusts Davin, and he lets a soft, relieved chuckle as the scrapes and cuts on James' cheek heal before his eyes. His eyes go a bit shiny and he reaches out to cup his cheek, thumbing at the newly healed skin. He knows his shoulder will follow suit and it already makes Davin feel so much better, knowing that James won't be in pain anymore, and he's not so afraid of Davin's magic that he would refuse to let him help.

"Thank you, babe." He leans over to give him a soft kiss and then pulls back to look at him, biting his lip and shrugging a bit. "Yeah, it was all new t'me too. I just... the amount o' power it would take t'wield a spell like that. It's insane. I feel a little messed up."

He looks down and blinks away the sting in his eyes, hands trembling a little. "It just doesn't seem real. I mean, a dragon. Jesus. I can't believe I did that."
